She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified (NCC). She also holds a School Counselor License and teaching certificate in the State of Michigan.
Kimberly has always loved helping others, especially children. Before starting Balance Life Counseling she was an educator and taught at the elementary level. Then she became a school counselor for several years working with children from preschool through high school.
After many years in education she decided to pursue her dream to open a private practice. Her goal was to help as many children and adults possible who struggle with mental health issues. It began as a solo practice but now has evolved to a group practice with several mental health practitioners.
Balance Life Counseling is an outpatient counseling facility that specializes in various areas of mental health including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, grief, childhood issues and several others. They work with individuals, families, and groups in treating mental, behavioral and emotional problems and disorders.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three daughters and husband. She also enjoys giving back to the community and for the last several years has served as Vice President of the local Board of Education.
